We know that the what, when, where, why and how is important. So to save you asking, we have put together a list of all those frequently asked questions – nothing like having more time to enjoy your surroundings!
What is Yourimbah?
Yourimbah is the student association or union for the University of Newcastle and TAFE NSW – Hunter Institute on the Ourimbah campus. We take care of most of your non-academic needs such as food and retail services, entertainment, sport and clubs. We can also help with grievances and representation on campus. When you join Yourimbah you help support these services on campus and you are entitled to benefits, such as discounts both on and off campus.

In the office we provide:
photocopying, laminating, binding, faxing, Coles and Woolworths gift cards, mail services
bookings for Your Studio and the multipurpose court
free condoms and chilled water.
Can anyone join Yourimbah?
You need to have some association with Ourimbah campus to join Yourimbah, which means either being a student, staff member or graduate of the campus. Staff members include the businesses and organisations located on campus such as NSW Sport and Recreation, DPI, CEN and Business Incubator.
How do I join?
You can join by submitting the membership form online via this website or you can drop into any Yourimbah outlet at the campus. All you need to do is fill in a membership form and then we’ll provide you with a membership card and a member pack to be collected from the Yourimbah office.
How do I find out the latest activities on campus?
Yourimbah sends out a fortnightly newsletter via email to both members and non-members. Your News keeps you up to date with activities and events both on and off campus. You can subscribe to the newsletter by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the newsletter mailing list or click here. Alternatively browse through our website to find out what’s on or connect with us on social media to stay up to date.
