Learning Development

In Semester 2 2016, Learning Development is offering new ways for you to improve your academic and mathematics skills. All of our services --including drop ins, individual consultations and workshops for writing, maths, and study skills -- are still accessible through UON Website > Current Students > Learning > Study Skills or by clicking

Our new and enhanced offerings for this semester are:

  • Three concurrent series of academic skills workshops for Enabling and Undergraduate students. These series are split into workshops for Education & Arts students, Sciences & Health students, and a series on Technology Skills for every student.
  • Presentation Drop In, every Tuesday 10-11am in The Learning Centre (upstairs in the Library). This Drop In provides a welcoming space for Enabling and Undergraduate students to practice their speaking assessment tasks.
  • Conversation Club, Wednesday 1-2pm in The Learning Centre. All students are invited to chat and build friendships in this space, particularly students who are new to campus, international students, and students with English as an additional language.

Alongside these new services, Writing Drop In is running Monday-Friday Weeks 2-13 at the new time of 11-1pm (still located in The Learning Centre). We are also convening a range of mathematics drop ins and small group consultations.

To book in for any of the above, please go to, where you will be prompted to log into Career Hub using your regular UON student number and password.

Hope to see you soon,

The Learning Development team, Ourimbah
