clubs & Societies
There is much more to campus life than lectures and study. Clubs are a great way to meet others, share similar interests and perhaps make a few mates along the way. There are social clubs, sporting clubs and those of an academic nature, but if there isn’t one that ticks your boxes, then form a new club today.
Current Yourimbah Clubs:
Blue Gum House Society
Blue Gum House Society is a society for the on-campus, Blue Gum House residents to get involved with university and house exclusive events; a forum to voice what residences want to see and how we can become involved in the Central Coast and Ourimbah Campus community. For more information contact Yourimbah.
The University of Newcastle Oral Health Society (UNOHS)
UNOHS is a student run society that represents the Oral Health/ Therapy students at the University of Newcastle. We strive to provide our members with the greatest academic and social university experience. We work closely with the Australian Dental Students Association (ADSA) to run national events and competitions such as orientation, R U OK? DAY, blood drive competitions with other dental and medical schools and opportunities to volunteer overseas. UNOHS events include a first year meet and greet, pubcrawls, occasional BBQ’s, pizza days and an annual ball. Further, our year representatives are responsible in liaising between students and teachers to provide you with a smooth and comfortable academic experience.
The success of UNOHS relies on your participation and commitment. Annual membership is open to all students for only $5!
Join UNOHS to receive yearly discounts, an invite to UON and external events, a means to network with your fellow peers and dental professionals and an opportunity to make lifelong friendships. Sign up at the Yourimbah office today!
Central Stage Drama Club
New in 2017, Central Stage aims to provide a safe, creative space for students to build confidence in the performing/dramatic arts. The group is active in rehearsing and performing and would love to have more students involved.
